What we collect, and why
Event registration
When you register for an event we collect your name and surname and, where provided, your company, role, email address and telephone number, together with the names of the people attending with you. We use this information to manage the registration, prepare the accreditations and organise the event. The legal basis is the performance of your own request and the consent given at the time of registration.
Admission control
Every attendee receives an accreditation carrying a two-dimensional barcode (QR). The code contains no personal data: it is a random string. When the accreditation is scanned at the entrance we record the time of admission and the name of the staff member who carried out the check. We use this to know who actually attended, to write up the event report and to meet the Association's reporting obligations.
Communications and invitations
Only to those who have ticked the dedicated box — optional, and separate from the registration itself — do we send the newsletter and invitations to subsequent events. Consent may be withdrawn at any time by writing to the address above, without affecting event registration.
Membership
For member companies we process the contact details of their representatives, the membership documents and information relating to fees, for the performance of the membership relationship and the legal obligations arising from it.
Who sees the data
The data is accessible to the Association's staff, each for what they need: whoever staffs the entrance of an event sees only the accreditations for that event, and has no access to the membership directory, to documents or to fees. We do not disclose data to third parties and we do not use it for purposes other than those stated. The portal uses no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking services.
Where the data is kept, and for how long
The data is stored on a server operated by Aruba S.p.A. and located in Italy, therefore within the European Union: there is no transfer of data to third countries. A backup copy is taken every night and kept for fourteen days. Event registration and attendance data is kept for twenty-four months from the date of the event — the time needed to report on it and to invite attendees to the following edition — and then deleted; membership data is kept for the duration of the membership and for the statutory periods thereafter.
Your rights
You may at any time ask to access your data, to correct it, to erase it, to restrict its processing, to receive it in a machine-readable format or to object to the processing, by writing to direzione@confindustria.hu. If you believe the processing infringes the law you may lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority: in Hungary this is the NAIH — Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (naih.hu).
